Hi, I am currently employed as a Data Service Provisioner in Canada doing set up DSL, SDSL, and ADSL services ,
also create virtual web servers and SQL databases through the company’s internal software
Perform domain registrations, transferals, and renewals
I have 2 interviews offered for Network System Engineer which is in Kwun Tong District and Associate Engineer which is located in Jardine Building.
Would you choose to stay in Canada or try it out in HK in your experience in HK? I know the decision is mine but I just want your input, that's all. Thanks!

I am facing performance issues in my project at client side, which are not found at my side. The only difference is in the Operating System. Client uses Solaris where as mine is windows.
The project uses various database operations(Inserts, Updates and deletes) on huge amount of data. Please tell me will there be a performance variance for the SQL queries on different Operating systems.

Data mining can be done from the web through a spider. For example, what Google does to obtain matches to its queries is a form of data mining. So is what I do when I get historical data for thousands of stocks through my own spider and analyze them for current highs. You can use a DB to store and retrieve the data you mined, and you can mine it further through queries to the DB, which are usually made through SQL, which stands for "Structured Query Language." Data mining is a process; SQL is a language that may or may not be used in that process.
