Which is line "[ExpenseCategory] [nvarchar](50) COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_AS NULL" but I can't see anything wrong with it...
If the name of a schema object exceeds 30 characters, I am getting an error 'identifier is too long'. Schema objects are tables, clusters, views, indexes, synonyms, tablespaces, and usernames.
Is there any settings to do in Oracle to allow schema name > 30 charecters.

Ex: I am getting error while trying to create a table like
sql>CREATE TABLE AITEC_TB_RADIALEQUILIBRIUM_MIG47_BC( . . .)

sql> Error: Identifier is too long . . .
Hello,
I'm trying to pin down some independent benchmarks for MySQL Cluster (ver 5.0.42)running the most basic setup 1 SQL node 2 ndbd nodes 1 mgm node on LINUX. Does anyone have information? I need something from a non-sales pitched source that is real.
I have run my own tests but I need something to compare against.

Thank!
1. what is its use ....?
2. how to create it ...?
3. what are types of clusters ...?
What would cause a node or two from a windows cluster to arbitrarily complain of and an IP conflict and hang till you reboot the machine. If you need more detail I will give it to you.
hi,
i have created this table in ms sql 2000

CREATE TABLE [Cmm_Category] (
[CatID] [int] IDENTITY (1, 1) PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED NOT NULL ,
[CatName] [nvarchar] (50) NULL ,
[CatImage] [varchar] (50) NULL ,
[CatFolder] [nvarchar] (50) NULL ,
[Active] [bit] default (1) NULL
) ON [PRIMARY]
GO

but when i export it to my remote server the index of catid is removed and when i try to modify the table with the syntax below i get erro
Incorrect syntax near '('

alter TABLE [Cmm_Category] Modify (
[CatID] [int] IDENTITY (1, 1) PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED NOT NULL ,
[CatName] [nvarchar] (50) NULL ,
[CatImage] [varchar] (50) NULL ,
[CatFolder] [nvarchar] (50) NULL ,
[Active] [bit] default (1) NULL
) ON [PRIMARY]
GO
I am interested in the pros and cons of each for SQL Server 2005.
We are trying to install the SQL Server 2005 Enterprise 32Bit Edition in a clustered environment and keep receiveing the following error during the install:

The installer has encountered an unexpected error. The error code is 2878. On the dialog ClusterGroupDlg the control DataPath has a possible value : y:\Microsoft SQL Server\. This is an invalid or duplicate value.
At what point is it better to run a cluster of web servers vs a single machine? We're currently running a web server machine and a SQL machine and the idea of running a cluster instead of the web server has been brought up. The web server runs .net pages and .net services.
i will be setting up a server cluster with windows 2003 and sql an di have many directions on how to do it but NONE start dead from the begining.

like how and where to setup the quarum drive. how to setup the virtual network. it just says you have to have that setup up.

does anyone know some good resources that may help
While installing 2K5, It will not go past the select the cluster group section (There are no groups to select), It says on the initial install it will install all the resources required to complete the install, but the resource types for SQL 2005 are never available. How do I add them ?
I'm new to SQL Server after using Access for many years and need some help setting up a time stamp to show the last time a record was updated. Here is part of my table script and the column that needs to be updated is "time_stamp". Any help is appreciated and please remember I'm new to SQL Server. The simpler the solution the better. Thanks.
