Interview Question in SQL Server 2005

Interview Question :: Could I find work in a small- to medium-sized software shop

6 years experience with .NET (1.1,2.0,3.0,3.5)
4 years c#
4 years vb.net
6 years MS Access
1 year SQL Server Express 2005
Basic XML skills
Basic C++ skills
Excellent writing skills

All the computer skills self-taught (I was a teacher and am now changing careers).
I have written two programs, one that uses MS Access as a backend and another which uses SQL Server Express 2005.

Would I find work as a programmer, or a technical writer?

I've been both a Technical Writer and a programmer.

It depends what you mean by 'experience'. If it's work experience, then definitely. (6 years is a long time and will even qualify you in some senior development positions).

If it's just hobby experience, the number of years become irrelevant and you may have to show the products you have made. Either way, they will probably test you on the spot, produce some pseudocode and/or design.

Send me a message if you have further questions. Good luck!

You may register at freelance programmer website like http://www.getafreelnacer.com/ and start bidding for all MS Access projects posted there. Initially bid as low as possible.
