Interview Question in Service Packs and Patches
Interview Question :: I have a question about my computer its a dell dimension 2400 windows xp home edition
i just crashed my computer and installed windows and my drivers but i am having a few problems.
Before i crashed my computer i had hotfix and all this wondows stuff on my computer that i dont have now and everytime i try to down load hotfix and window stuff its eather the wrong thing or it tells me i dont have msvcr71.dll and i need to reinstall it than i go to try to reinstall it but it only unzips and i try to install it after it unzips the file i go to open it and all it is is a notebad telling you about it i need the software and before that it would tell me i needed sql servers and than for hotfix stuff it would tell me i needed 2.5 service pack 2 or 2.7 sp 1 or 2.5 sp3 or mdac 2.8 but when i try to install sp2 or sp1 or sp3 it tells me i have already got it but when i try to download the hotfix it tells me i dont than i go to instal the sql servers or mdac it tells me i have to reinstall msvcr71.dll but i cant get that to install i need to know what to do here im confussed?
